Welcome to Simply Connect Greenwich!

We're on a mission to mainstream social prescribing, and help those most marginalised in our society.

We want to break down barriers and raise awareness of how voluntary and community services can really help people to connect with others, and get the help they need from within their own communities.

With over 50 years' combined experience of working with the voluntary and community sector (VCSE), we're linked in with over 100,000 VCSE organisations across the UK. Born out of a charity ourselves, we have a clear Corporate Social Responsibility Policy - one that invests back into the local VCSE sector.

Whatever it is you're looking for - there's something for you.

Maybe you’re wanting to meet new people - or need some advice for a friend or family member? Or perhaps you want to find out about exercise or social clubs in your area, or how to get involved in a local charity?

About Social Prescribing

Link Workers have been introduced by NHS England to assist GPs in caring for a person’s health and wellbeing.

These workers (along with other health and social care professions) can help you access non-medical services to support you with whatever issue you're experiencing, that doesn’t necessarily need a medical intervention. This could be specialist support such as managing your health condition, bereavement support, keeping active or counselling services.

What is social prescribing?

This is when you are referred or signposted into non-clinical services by a professional as a way of supporting or improving your health and wellbeing.

Social Prescribing Link Workers are new posts, funded by the NHS, who will support you and make referrals on your behalf into community services.

Do you want to get involved in your community and help others?

There are hundreds of local community organisations registered that you can help by volunteering.

Maybe you want to work with animals, help the homeless, or get involved in a fundraising event - whatever it is, there is someone out there who needs your help.
